The New American Coliseum

Sooooo....Kushmonster's "Vietnam Veteran Kills Cop" recently became Google's #1 ranked page on this interesting subject after some Swedish site published our post twelve thousand plus Swedes on August 5th and another six thousand on the following day came swarming onto this site. This kind of attention always occurs after a major shooting incident and I guess the Norway incident in which scores of young Norwegians were murdered was no different other than in the intensity of interest which these bloodbaths usually generate in a populace addicted to schadenfreude and morose delectation. I thought for a moment that I might solicit some advertising for the first time due to the thousands of hits, maybe from some guns and ammo dealers. ha.ha. just joking...but seriously, this just goes to show what people are really interested in. blood sport is obviously the numero uno preoccupation with our society and this widely circulated snuff film with its shocking and rather one-sided gun battle resulting in the murder of the Georgia state trooper has always been the most visited page on this site. I don't suppose that too many actually go on to read the article itself which concerns the attack on the Austin IRS building ostensibly carried out by Andrew Joseph Stack III and the ruminations concerning the escalating levels of gratuitous and horrendous violence occurring on a daily basis, or for that matter anything else posted here. The internet has provided us with a kind of vast world wide cyber Roman coliseum wherein we can witness the titillating spectacle of mortal combat or simple execution, dismemberment, or gruesome devouring of human beings on an unparalleled scale. I guess this is a testimony to the corruption and degeneration of an empire and a world which has been reduced to a primal sadomasochistic craving for blood as a species of entertainment. Thus we concur with the prophet-"How tortuous is the human heart, far beyond any remedy".
